Job Summary: 

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more business unit, managing resources, schedules, financials, and adhering to quality control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This includes managing issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time, within budget, project delivery. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in project management methodologies, technological fields, and have a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution:

    • Lead the planning and implementation of technical projects, ensuring they are completed according to outlined objectives.
    • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.

    Scope, Risk & Quality Management:

    • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
    • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
    • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure project objectives are met.

    Performance Tracking & Reporting:

    • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
    • Report on project progress and escalate issues to management as needed.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

    Technical Guidance & Feasibility:

    • Ensure technical feasibility and resource availability for project execution.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Post-Project Evaluation:

    • Conduct stakeholder management activities, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computing Science, Information Technology, or a related field (not essential).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management in the information technology sector.
  • Proven working experience as a Technical Project Manager.
  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Jira.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification.
  • Specific technical skills required: Experience with Contact Centres and AWS (Amazon Web Services).
  • Experience with Microsoft Modern Work (Desirable but not essential).
